'I'm the one': Trump says he ordered the DOJ to sue Alaska to block the Senate result if Sullivan loses

Donald Trump at his Greenville, North Carolina rally, where he mimicked punching hecklers and vowed to treat them "very, very rough".

The lawsuit hinges on a second candidate called Daniel J. Sullivan, whom government attorneys accuse of running to mislead supporters of Senator Dan Sullivan. Donald Trump told reporters 'They have two Dan Sullivans.' The filing asks a federal court in Anchorage to stop certification if Democrat Mary Peltola wins. Polling averages put Peltola about two points ahead.

The Alaska Supreme Court has already rejected Republican efforts to remove the other Sullivan.

Daniel J. Sullivan, an ex-teacher from Petersburg, denies he aims to divert votes.
