'I miss her': Miley Cyrus breaks down in tears before singing 'Jolene' for late godmother Dolly Parton at LA's Hollywood Bowl
Cyrus, 33, told the sold-out crowd on Friday that the only time she ever saw Dolly Parton perform live was at the same Los Angeles venue. Parton opened that show with 'The Best of Both Worlds', the Hannah Montana theme, then revealed to fans that her goddaughter was watching. Cyrus called the memory 'gold to me'. Parton died aged 80 on August 25 after a brief battle with cancer.
'Me and Dolly, we are eternal,' Cyrus told the audience through tears.
Mid-song, she fretted that Parton had heard her use the F-word.
Cyrus later sang 'Wrecking Ball' clutching Parton's photo in a heart-shaped frame.
