Alison Hammond suffered a panic attack so severe she feared she was having a heart attack, forcing her to leave the 'This Morning' set while the show was on air. The presenter has since confirmed she is recovering after the alarming mid-broadcast exit left viewers concerned.

Hammond fled the live set before producers could explain her sudden absence to viewers watching at home.

The attack came without warning during the broadcast, leaving co-hosts to continue without her.

Hammond confirmed the health scare herself, saying the chest sensations made her genuinely believe her heart was failing.
