Sporting legend Ian Wright turned up unannounced at son Shaun Wright-Phillips' Strictly Come Dancing rehearsals during week three, telling cameras he was "very proud" of the former England footballer. Shaun and professional partner Alexis Warr went on to perform their Quickstep on Saturday night's live show, scoring 15 points from the judges. The appearance comes as bookmakers make Shaun the favourite to leave the competition this weekend, with Ladbrokes pricing him at 7/4 to be eliminated.
Wright adopted Shaun at age three, having been the boyfriend of his mother, Sharon Phillips.
Elsewhere on Saturday's show, fans thought pro dancer Aljaž Škorjanec's '70s wig and moustache made him look like Danny Dyer's character from Disney+ series 'Rivals'.
Lacey Turner is now the overall favourite to lift the Glitterball Trophy, with Betway cutting her odds to 6/4 after two strong performances.
