Ilhan Omar begs supporters for cash and vows she won't be 'intimidated' as US deportation probe intensifies
Ilhan Omar, filming from the back of a car on Tuesday night, appealed to supporters for $5, $10 or $20, warning of "a very expensive and challenging time" after federal agents raided her Washington home.
Federal agents searched Ilhan Omar's Washington home, taking away her phone, notebooks, computers and passport. Border czar Tom Homan says investigators have a 'strong case'. In a minute-long video filmed from the back of a car on Tuesday night, the Minnesota Democrat claimed the Trump administration is 'running scared'. She appealed to supporters for $5, $10 or $20, warning of 'a very expensive and challenging time', and denies wrongdoing.
Her sister Sahra Noor was questioned by investigators and cancelled a Minnesota book event.
President Trump said 'she could also go to jail', calling Omar 'a disgrace to our country'.
The investigation centres on allegations that her birth year was falsified, either by Omar herself or by her father.
