Illegal migrant Deliveroo rider who dragged woman 'like a ragdoll' and raped her is jailed for 21 years

Salem Rekoub, 28, arrived in Britain on a tourist visa in 2023 with no right to work, yet obtained delivery work through "incomplete checks" before attacking a woman in her 40s who had passed out at a Chelsea bus stop in July 2024. He dragged her down a side road, repeatedly raped her over 17 minutes while telling her "you need to be quiet", then called 999 and fed paramedics a pack of lies. Isleworth Crown Court convicted him of three counts of rape and two counts of assault by penetration, and the judge branded him a danger to the public.

Rekoub smirked on CCTV as he followed his victim's ambulance to Chelsea and Westminster Hospital, checking triage rooms to 'get to the woman again'.

His victim said in court: 'This has destroyed my life — it killed me and made me feel worthless.'

She was left with 33 bruises, has suffered seizures since the attack, and says her speech has become slurred.
