'Inbetweeners' creators say they 'couldn't find a plausible way' to bring back all characters amid Emily Atack feud claims

Creators Iain Morris and Damon Beesley have broken their silence on why Emily Atack will not appear in the new 'Inbetweeners' Netflix film, insisting the decision was entirely theirs. The duo posted a behind-the-scenes Instagram snap of Joe Thomas, Blake Harrison, James Buckley and Simon Bird reading scripts. They urged fans to avoid speculation and spoilers, promising the film will be more enjoyable going in blind.
Atack, 36, is said to have refused to return after being axed from a previous reunion over a reported past fling with James Buckley.
The creators flatly denied a feud drove the decision, writing: 'It's not as headline-worthy, but it's the truth.'
The new film, the first since 2014's 'Inbetweeners 2', is being distributed by Netflix with no release date yet announced.
