Indiana Democrat Jaime West admits she drank 'three beers' before a viral interview where she vowed to fire 'all Republicans'

Jaime West had earlier told the Connersville News-Examiner she drank just one beer before the October 9 candidate forum. Under repeated questioning from Piers Morgan on Monday, her account grew from one Coors Light to 'a couple', then finally 'three beers'. The Fayette County Council District 4 hopeful insisted she 'wasn't that intoxicated'. She refused to retract anything and said she is 'not friends' with Republicans.

Her closing message to voters, 'We have guns, too', has drawn millions of views.

West blamed nerves: 'I was going in a room with full Republicans.'
