Injured Delta Goodrem is left in tears watching at home as Strictly hosts pay tribute during her rib-injury absence

The rib injury Delta Goodrem suffered in training has already put her in hospital twice. Emma Willis told viewers the Australian star would not dance on medical advice, which earns her and Kai Widdrington a bye to next week. Johannes Radebe added: 'Delta my darling, I know you'll be watching.' Goodrem blew the hosts a kiss in a video captioned: 'Thanks team. It's been a rough week.'

Goodrem and Widdrington had topped or come second on the leaderboard every week.

She said sitting out Icons Week was 'heartbreaking' and she was 'absolutely gutted'.

Her former Neighbours co-star Stefan Dennis withdrew from Strictly last year with a calf injury.
