Inquest hears man had history of psychosis before he entered Yorkshire Wildlife Park tiger enclosure

William Chapman, 23, had a history of psychotic episodes and was on strong medication, the inquest into his death has heard at Doncaster Coroner's Court. His family described him as a "bright, warm and engaging young man" who suffered from "significant mental illness over a number of years". The cause of death was also established at the hearing, where harrowing new details of last Saturday's attack at Yorkshire Wildlife Park emerged.

Chapman's family said Trump's AI-generated footage of him interacting with a tiger was "enormously hurtful" at an "exceptionally vulnerable time".

Skills minister Baroness Jacqui Smith told Times Radio everyone — "whoever we are" — should respect the grief of Chapman's family.

Yorkshire Wildlife Park has remained closed since the attack; Chapman's family have urged authorities to act over circulation of footage online.
