Iran declares the RAF and Royal Navy 'terrorist organisations' and MI6 'hostile' in retaliation for Britain's IRGC crackdown

Tehran's Foreign Ministry announced the designations as "reciprocal measures" after Britain placed the IRGC under the State Threats Act on 13 July 2026, accusing the UK of involvement in the "US-Israeli imposed war against Iran" by providing military bases and logistical facilities.
Iran warned the UK will 'bear responsibility for the consequences' of its 'anti-Iranian policies'.
The RAF has already shot down more than 100 Iranian drones targeting British forces and coalition bases since the Middle East war began.
The Trump administration separately warned Iran of consequences at the G20, with Marco Rubio raising energy security and Strait of Hormuz concerns.
