US military chiefs warn Hegseth that prolonged Iran war is leaving America UNABLE TO DEFEND ITSELF

Iranian missile strikes on commercial shipping in the Strait of Hormuz have helped reduce Persian Gulf oil exports to just two-thirds of pre-war levels, Goldman Sachs warns.

Senior Pentagon commanders have formally opposed orders to keep US forces in the Middle East into 2027, warning that the six-month Iran war is draining resources needed to protect the American homeland. The warning appeared in the Secretary of Defense Orders Book this month, with the heads of US Pacific Command, European Command and Southern Command all registering a "non-concur" against the deployment extension. Aircraft and ships diverted to the Middle East have hampered missions and training across Latin America, Europe and Asia, with commanders warning the military has faced "too much for too long." The chief of Naval Operations disclosed that only around one quarter of the destroyer fleet stands ready to deploy — a steep drop from pre-war levels.

Leaders overseeing Latin America and Europe warned that redirecting their ships and aircraft to the Middle East has "degraded their ability to fulfil homeland-defence obligations."

Iran's Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei, who has not appeared publicly since sustaining injuries in the US-Israeli airstrikes that launched the war, issued a statement urging Gulf rulers to unite against their "real enemy."

Khamenei told Muslim heads of state: "The criminal rulers of America and the fake Zionist regime are sworn enemies of this unity."
