Irish police believe a man whose body was found at a Dublin recycling plant may have been murdered

A body found at a west Dublin recycling plant in the early hours of Saturday marks the second such discovery at a waste facility in the area within months; Andrew Haire, 35, was found in a collection bin at the Greyhound recycling site in July. The unidentified man was discovered at the Clondalkin plant at around 1am. A senior investigating officer is heading the case, and post-mortem findings will determine the direction of the inquiry.

The Garda Technical Bureau is to carry out a forensic examination of the scene, where the body was still present on Saturday.

William Carey, a Sinn Féin councillor, said: 'I just feel for the family.'

The investigation is being run from an incident room at Ronanstown Garda Station, and officers are appealing for witnesses to come forward.
