Farage says Henry Nowak's family have been 'put through hell' after police suggested the murdered teenager was the aggressor

Reform UK leader Nigel Farage has condemned Hampshire and Isle of Wight Constabulary for initially telling the murdered 18-year-old's family that Henry Nowak — not his killer, Vickrum Digwa — was the aggressor. Farage said medics he had spoken to warned that handcuffing Nowak behind his back would have worsened his bleeding, and the IOPC compounded the family's suffering by notifying them in April that there were 'no concerns identified' about the conduct of officers at the scene.
The family say police also falsely told them officers had immediately administered first aid, only later admitting Nowak was first handcuffed and arrested.
Nowak's stepmother Katie Nowak said she fears 'decisions were made to protect the police and their reputation rather than help us as a family.'
Hampshire and Isle of Wight Chief Constable Alexis Boon has admitted the force 'failed' Nowak, saying 'in his final moments, when he needed us most, we failed him.'
