'Irresponsible and pathetic': Trump is slammed for refusing to say whether he told Musk to restore Ukraine's Starlink

President Donald Trump reportedly phoned Elon Musk and asked him to lift curbs on Ukraine's Starlink and Starshield links. Pressed on Thursday, he shrugged: 'Whether I called or somebody else called, it doesn't make any difference.' Kyiv says the restrictions left it exposed just as Russia stepped up missile and drone strikes. Ukrainians online claim speeds are still being throttled.

The curbs came after Trump urged Zelenskyy's ousting and a halt to refinery strikes.

Washington denied slowing access, but Musk insisted only the White House could decide.

Finnish firms Nokia and ICEYE will now explore alternative satellite communications for Kyiv.
