Hamas confirmed that several of Rizq Suhail Abu Shahma's fellow rotating bodyguards for the late Yahya Sinwar have also now been killed by Israel.

Razek Sahil Suleiman Abu Shahma, a commander in Hamas's elite Nukhba Force who served as a personal bodyguard to the late Hamas chief Yahya Sinwar, has been killed in an Israeli strike on Khan Yunis. The IDF and Shin Bet confirmed the killing Thursday, saying Abu Shahma took part in the October 7 raid on the Re'im military base and helped abduct Israeli hostages. A second Nukhba operative, Hazem Mousa, who also raided Re'im on October 7, was killed in the same operation.

Abu Shahma held three hostages — Edan Alexander, Matan Zangauker and Avera Mengistu — in a Gaza tunnel after the October 7 massacre.

The IDF said both men were 'systematically violating the ceasefire' by advancing fresh attacks and trying to rebuild Hamas's military capabilities.

Several of Sinwar's personal guards have now been killed by Israel; he reportedly preferred elite Nukhba fighters over standard security personnel.
