Israel refuses to allow Trump's Board of Peace military outpost to be built inside Gaza, blocking border crossing

Israel has prevented construction of a key military outpost commissioned by Trump's Board of Peace, turning away contractors and trucks at the Gaza border crossing two months after the contract was awarded. The Israeli Defence Forces and the Israeli government have not commented, and the Board of Peace has equally declined to respond.

The outpost sits at the heart of Trump's assertion that he has resolved the Gaza conflict — a ceasefire he brokered in October 2025 and repeatedly invokes as grounds for his Nobel peace prize claim.

'Israel won't open the border,' said someone with firsthand knowledge of the situation, confirming that contractors have been shut out for two months.

The standoff comes as Trump's Board of Peace marks one year since the ceasefire, with senior adviser Josh Gruenbaum publicly attributing regional progress to Trump's leadership.
