Jools Oliver, who told a podcast her undiagnosed autism and ADHD "ruined 45 years" of her life, says going undiagnosed made the menopause a "double nightmare.

Jools Oliver, 51, is too frightened to take her prescribed ADHD medication because of health anxiety. She received an ADHD diagnosis around four years ago, then recognised she was autistic after several of her children were diagnosed with the condition. 'It's no superpower,' she told Cressida Bonas's Lessons From Our Mothers podcast. This marks the first time she has publicly named her diagnoses.

She said that going undiagnosed made the menopause a 'double nightmare'.

Husband Jamie Oliver had revealed last year that she was neurodivergent.

Jools said her autism diagnosis has helped her understand her five children better.
