JD Vance blames 'Western liberals' who 'imported the third world' after rioters torched France's 143-year-old Limoges town hall
Vance warned Americans to 'pay attention', claiming the chaos is 'the future congressional Democrats seek for your country'. He said liberals ignored 'fundamental questions of assimilation and compatibility' and prayed France would 'stop this madness before more of its landmarks burn'. Limoges Town Hall, built in 1883, was 'largely lost' when its roof collapsed. Some 1,200 people were arrested as 550,000 marched.
Robert Jenrick posted: 'France is on fire. This fate awaits us too.'
Prefect Maurice Barate called the blaze 'a deliberate act by hooligans' and 'a catastrophe for heritage'.
Rioters ignored a sobbing shopkeeper who begged: 'Why are you doing this?'
