Vance told a Fox News town hall in Texas that Obama "can't help himself from being super elitist," after the former president mocked the White House decor as looking like "Saddam Hussein opened a Cheesecake Factory." Vance added that Obama had "driven home how divorced the Democrats are from actual Americans."

Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent had eaten at a Cheesecake Factory and appeared on Fox News to brand Obama's Chicago presidential library "Darth Vader's tomb."

Obama drew thousands to an Atlanta suburb on Wednesday, campaigning for Senator Jon Ossoff and gubernatorial candidate Keisha Lance Bottoms ahead of the midterms.
