Tight end Drew Sample was the only player seen shaking the Vice President's hand as teammates walked past him in a video posted on X. Vance, who hails from Ohio and has long supported the Bengals, brought his son along to the practice facility on Wednesday. The visit came ahead of a midterms rally for Republican candidates. Vivek Ramaswamy, among those candidates, is in a close race for Ohio governor.

NFL commentator Dov Kleiman said the Bengals are 'under heavy criticism online' over the cold shoulder.

Kleiman said most players 'did not shake his hand or even acknowledge Vance'.

The White House and the Bengals' press office were contacted for comment.
