Jeremy Clarkson, who says he is developing a show of "unbelievably ambitious" scale after wrapping the sixth series of Clarkson's Farm, leaving dozens of crew members uncertain of their income.
Jeremy Clarkson has wrapped filming on series six of Clarkson's Farm and cast serious doubt on whether a seventh series will happen, telling the RTS Convention in London: "Season seven is kind of, 'What are we going to do?'" The 66-year-old presenter said his next project must be bigger than anything he has done before, pointing to Celebrity Traitors as the benchmark. He also warned that 35 to 40 crew members from Clarkson's Farm are now out of work and struggling to pay their mortgages.
Clarkson called for the BBC, ITV, Sky, Channel 4 and Channel 5 to merge into a single British streaming platform he dubbed 'Britflix'.
He warned conventional TV shows on cookery and gardening cannot survive the social media age 'unless they're cooking on the moon'.
Clarkson gave no details on the new project's format, saying only it must make viewers ask: 'What the f*** are you doing? That's an incredible show!'
