Jesy Nelson 'pulls out' of I'm A Celebrity with a 'heavy heart' to care for her unwell twin daughters

Jesy Nelson's twin daughters Ocean and Story are both currently sick, prompting the former Little Mix singer to withdraw from a six-figure deal to appear on I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out Of Here!

Jesy Nelson, who successfully lobbied the government to launch a national newborn screening programme for Spinal Muscular Atrophy type 1 last month, has withdrawn from I'm A Celebrity to care for her sick twins.

Former Little Mix singer Jesy Nelson, 35, has reportedly walked away from a six-figure offer to appear on 'I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out Of Here!' because her twin daughters Ocean and Story are currently sick. Nelson had planned to use the ITV jungle show to shine a light on Spinal Muscular Atrophy type 1, the rare condition both girls were diagnosed with shortly after birth. ITV is fully supportive and has left the door open for her to join the show in future.

Nelson's twins Ocean and Story, born prematurely in March 2025, are not expected ever to walk due to SMA type 1.

She had already changed government policy, successfully lobbying for a national newborn screening programme for SMA launched last month.

Nelson would have been the first former Little Mix member to enter the jungle, having backed out of the show with weeks to go before its return.
