Joe Lycett is banished from The Celebrity Traitors after begging to be recruited, with 9.3 million watching

Joe Lycett, 38, was a Faithful all along. He was undone at the round table by a slip-up: he claimed his exit would force the Traitors to recruit again and deny them a murder. James Blunt seized on the remark, and the comedian took the majority of votes. Only his new friend Miranda Hart held out, telling him: 'I physically couldn't write your name down.'

Traitors Maya Jama and James Acaster recruited YouTube star King Kenny instead of murdering anyone.

The episode peaked at 9.6 million viewers with a 57 per cent audience share.

Lycett's parting shot to the group was that he would 'expect to be in all of your wills'.
