Ed Miliband, the man who couldn't eat a bacon butty, gamely tackled Thai snacks on camera as he and John Healey rode a neon-lit tuk-tuk through Bangkok after dark, motorbikes running alongside. 'Eating on camera has not been my forte, John, but I'm going to have a go,' Miliband admitted. His first verdict was 'not bad'.

Miliband called working with other countries 'the fundamental principle why I'm here' in Thailand.

Healey said Britain's economic pressures have been tackled 'in part by working with other countries'.

'After you,' Healey offered, handing Miliband first taste. 'Oh, thank you so much, John,' came the reply.
