Collin Gosselin, 22, alleges his mother Kate Gosselin beat him, confined him in a contractor-built basement room with only an air mattress, and zip-tied his hands and feet when he tried to run away. In his memoir 'In the Shadow of Eight: Surviving the Reality of My Childhood', he claims she told him, 'You're a burden, Collin! You're a burden to this family!' Collin says he has not spoken to Kate since he was 13 and has demanded a public apology before considering reconciliation.
Collin claims Kate singled him out for resisting filming, writing that production crew 'would just go quiet around her' even those with authority.
He alleges Kate told his siblings he was 'different' and needed 'special help' she couldn't provide, feeding them 'lies' to isolate him further.
Kate, who has not directly addressed the abuse claims, responded to her son's book launch by posting a TikTok video about her dog.
