All three suspects were badly wounded in the raid in Karak, while no officers were hurt. Interior Minister Mazen Al-Faraya said the men put up 'fierce resistance' before they were 'ultimately subdued'. He said they were identified early on as those behind the 'terrorist act'. No group has claimed responsibility, and King Abdullah II has ordered an 'iron fist' response.

Gunmen opened fire during a funeral at St George's Church in Hammoud on Friday.

Eight victims were buried on Sunday, and Mohammed al-Qasous will be laid to rest on Monday.

Survivor Sayel al-Khaitan, a doctor, called it a 'Daesh-style attack' on all Jordanians.
