Judge jails rapist, 18, for 12 years after he phoned a funeral director to arrange his victim's funeral in front of her

Mike Loveridge, 18, of Newbury Road, Didcot, was sentenced at Oxford Crown Court on 29 October to eight years with a four-year extension, 12 years in all. He was convicted of three counts of rape, controlling and coercive behaviour, exposing himself and inflicting unnecessary suffering on a protected animal.
Detective Constable Angelique Lihou said Mike Loveridge's offending was 'serious, persistent' and harmed several victims.
Five restraining orders now protect Mike Loveridge's victims, including the witness he tried to intimidate.
An indefinite ban now stops Didcot teenager Mike Loveridge keeping or caring for horses.
