Kent Police detectives, sifting highly complex medical, forensic and digital evidence, showed the 24-year-old had deliberately inflicted the fatal injury shortly before the emergency call on 15 July 2022.
Arrested the day Hunter Hodges died, Tyla Wharmby was charged on 22 February 2026 and denied both counts
Detective Inspector Adam Marshall, the senior investigating officer, said his team 'exposed the truth behind Wharmby's lies'
'No outcome could lessen the devastating loss,' said detective Adam Marshall, hoping the verdict offers 'some measure of accountability'
