Simon Richardson, 35, ran a stop sign as Stretford Grammar School's head cycled home from work on 20 April, then fled with him trapped beneath the car and switched vehicles to evade police before being caught after a short pursuit the next day. He denied the charge throughout a two-week trial at Manchester Minshull Street Crown Court.
Michael Mullins, Stretford Grammar headteacher, was cycling home from a job he had loved for 17 years.
'I would live the rest of my life for my dad,' vowed headteacher Michael Mullins's daughter.
Detective Chief Inspector Louise Edwards urged the public to remember Michael Mullins, not his killer, Simon Richardson.
