Jury sees CCTV of hero rail worker fighting the Huntingdon train knifeman with a frying pan as passengers flee

Anthony Williams, 33, faces 14 counts of attempted murder at Cambridge Crown Court after stabbing 14 people on trains and streets in and around Peterborough over the Halloween weekend last year. Prosecutor Christopher Paxton KC told jurors Williams "caused terror and fear on an unimaginable scale" as passengers fled, hid under seats and barricaded themselves in toilets. LNER crew member Samir Zitouni, who fought back with a frying pan, was stabbed multiple times. The trial turns not on who carried out the attacks — Williams concedes that he did — but on whether he intended to kill.
Williams asked passenger Stephen Crean 'do you want to die?' as Crean tried to wrestle the knife from him.
The spree began on 31 October in Peterborough, where those stabbed included a 14-year-old boy, before Williams boarded the Doncaster to London service the following evening.
Another passenger joined Zitouni in the resistance, wielding a toaster as a makeshift weapon to force Williams back into the first class carriage.
