President Trump's eldest grandchild, Kai Trump, has had a second operation on her left wrist after re-injuring it at the Golfweek Fall Classic in South Carolina in September — her first collegiate golf tournament. The 19-year-old University of Miami freshman shared a photo taken from her hospital bed at Hospital for Special Surgery in New York, showing her wrist in a cast and sling, telling followers she chose the procedure for her "long-term health and my future in the game I love." Her first surgery, in January 2026, had already pushed back her debut season with the Hurricanes before she returned to competition this autumn.
Kai said she "felt like she tore it again" on the 10th hole at Pawleys Island before scans confirmed a smaller but still serious tear.
She finished 13th out of 14 competitors at her second tournament in Muncie, Indiana, competing through the injury before deciding surgery was unavoidable.
Her mother Vanessa Trump is currently battling breast cancer, adding to what has been a turbulent start to Kai's college career.
