Kansas man, 24, is charged with threatening to shoot Trump ahead of his scheduled Wichita rally
Jaden J. Read, of Clearwater, allegedly wrote 'Already mapped out roofs around' and vowed to 'get kirked', a reference to Charlie Kirk, who was shot dead in Utah. A Crime Stoppers tip on October 15 flagged his Facebook comments under local news reports of the upcoming visit. He was arrested on Saturday, two days before Trump is set to speak. Read remains in federal custody until his detention hearing.
'Let's shoot Trump honestly, where's our shooter?' Read allegedly posted on Facebook.
He allegedly claimed he had ammunition and wrote: 'I'm killing this pedo.'
US Attorney Ryan A. Kriegshauser said threats of political violence 'will not be tolerated'.
