Kansas man, 24, is charged over posts threatening to shoot Trump and claiming he 'mapped out roofs' near Wichita rally
Jaden J. Read, of Clearwater, allegedly wrote 'Let's shoot Trump honestly, where's our shooter?' under a news article about the president's visit. A Crime Stoppers tip on October 15 triggered the federal investigation. He was arrested on Saturday, two days before Trump spoke at Heartland Credit Union Arena. Read remains in federal custody until his detention hearing.
Read allegedly boasted: 'I just got a 308 and 305 round and I'm killing this pedo.'
Another alleged post read 'Finna get kirked', referring to the shooting of Charlie Kirk.
US Attorney Ryan A. Kriegshauser said: 'Political violence and threats of political violence will not be tolerated.'
