Kemi Badenoch accuses Prime Minister Andy Burnham of failing to do the 'difficult stuff' after his charity appearance on Gogglebox

Kemi Badenoch accuses Prime Minister Andy Burnham of failing to do the 'difficult stuff' after his charity appearance on Gogglebox

The Tory leader tied the TV turn to Burnham's talk of stockpiling canned goods, saying neither would 'protect the country'. Burnham sat on a No 10 sofa with Liverpool mayor Steve Rotheram for a Stand Up to Cancer special on Channel 4. The pair reacted to films about cancer patients, including Callum, diagnosed with a brain tumour at 15. Burnham called one family's story 'devastating'.

'SNL UK' mocked the pair, with George Fouracres as Burnham downing a canister of Twiglets.

Stanley Tucci, Paul Whitehouse, Joe Lycett and the Sugababes also appeared on the special.

Badenoch was reportedly annoyed that she wasn't invited onto the show herself.
