Kensington Palace has stonewalled questions about whether Prince William is planning a television documentary to mark the 30th anniversary of Princess Diana's death next August, with a spokesman saying only: "We wouldn't comment on how the Prince of Wales will mark the anniversary." Sources suggest William has received numerous offers and is "thinking hard" about what to do. Meanwhile, Prince Harry has reportedly been contacting Diana's old friends and family members about a separate commemorative film.
Earl Charles Spencer reveals in his new memoir 'Swan Song: Diana, My Sister' that a nephew — understood to be Harry — asked him to take part in a documentary, which he declined.
A source close to Harry says "nothing has been finalised or confirmed" but that he is weighing the "most meaningful way to honour her legacy."
Royal commentator Richard Eden had claimed William is actively considering his own separate TV project, prompting the Palace's guarded non-denial.
