Kevin Adams's own daughter brands Fame Academy sex abuser a 'monster' and plans to change her surname

Avia Adams, 21, has publicly condemned her father Kevin Adams — the dance coach who sexually assaulted former England striker Andy Carroll while he slept — calling him a "sick individual" and a "monster." Adams, 59, was sentenced to 20 months in prison in 2023 and placed on the Sex Offenders' Register, but never told his daughters about his conviction. Avia now plans to change her surname to sever all ties with him.

Avia only discovered her father had been jailed weeks ago and also learned his real age for the first time — she had believed he was in his 40s.

Carroll, 37, named Adams in his autobiography 'Owning It: My Untold Story' after revealing he had woken to find a man attempting to assault him while he slept following drinks.

Avia told Carroll she would say sorry if they met: 'It's just disgusting. And I'm sorry that that's happened to him.'
