Key RFK Jr. adviser resigns from Trump administration amid MAHA agenda frustrations ahead of midterms
Calley Means, a senior food and nutrition adviser since last November, reportedly grew deeply frustrated at the White House's repeated delays to some of Health Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr.'s most popular proposals after submitting his resignation to Kennedy on Wednesday, with the departure exposing growing rifts within the broader MAHA movement. He held others in the administration responsible for giving food companies and special interests outsized sway.
Means praised Trump and Kennedy for taking on 'entrenched, dark forces in DC'.
He pointed to MAHA victories including removing soda from SNAP, banning food dyes and psychedelics reform.
His sister Casey Means had her surgeon general nomination withdrawn by Trump earlier this year.
