'Killer' mom 'never wanted to get pregnant' and resented toddler son for stealing husband's attention, warrant reveals

Metallica Rose Harrison, 27, accused of stabbing her husband Charles and their three-year-old son Tristan to death at Great Wolf Lodge in Pennsylvania's Poconos, had long resented the child for taking one-on-one time away from her husband, Charles's family told investigators. She allegedly brought butcher knives from the family home in Towanda, drained Charles's 401k to fund a three-week stay at the resort costing over $600 a night, and called 911 afterwards asking for help finding a vein in her neck to kill herself. Police, who charged her with two counts of criminal homicide, raided the family home and seized ten knives, four journals, a laptop and financial records.
Harrison allegedly told EMS: 'It wasn't supposed to end like this — I was supposed to have my happy family.'
Family stepmother April Thetga said the murders were 'definitely preplanned,' noting the knives were brought from home.
An electric shut-off notice was posted on the Towanda family home when police searched it, suggesting serious financial strain.
