Kimi Antonelli storms to US Grand Prix win in Austin and needs just TWO points in Mexico for the title

Lewis Hamilton's fourth place and George Russell's eighth kept the championship battle going for another week. The 20-year-old Mercedes driver now leads Russell by 123 points with only 125 remaining across five races. He took pole and won by 13 seconds from Charles Leclerc, his ninth victory of the season. Finishing ninth or better in Mexico City would make him F1's youngest ever champion, eclipsing Sebastian Vettel.

Toto Wolff called it 'the race of a champion who isn't the champion yet'.

Russell, handed a five-second penalty, says second place would mean nothing.

Leclerc passed Max Verstappen on lap 49 to snatch second for Ferrari.
