King Charles declared a specially distilled rum "very good" after sipping it at a cultural evening hosted by Guyana's President Mohamed Irfaan Ali, who told the King he had "just got to drink it down" before Charles quipped: "Somebody else will have to finish it!"
The 'Royal Welcome' limited edition 2026 rum, made by Banks DIH, is more than 20 years old and was created specifically for the visit.

The Guyana visit is the second leg of a nine-day Caribbean tour that will conclude in Antigua and Barbuda, where Charles is to open a Commonwealth leaders' summit.
