Kyle Kennedy, Robert F Kennedy's granddaughter left paralysed by a spinal injury, has died at 42 in Massachusetts

Just a year before her 2020 spinal cord injury, she completed the Boston Marathon. Her family said she 'fought to maintain her dry wit and determination' and was devoted to being the best mother she could be. She was a niece of Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F Kennedy Jr.

Her father Michael Kennedy died skiing into a tree when she was 13.

Her daughter Josephine died in infancy in 2014.
