Kyle Kennedy's cause of death listed as pending after RFK's granddaughter dies aged 42
The cause of death for Kyle Kennedy, who died on September 21 at her home in Westwood, Massachusetts, remains pending, with the manner of death still under investigation. She completed the Boston Marathon in 2019, a year before a severe spinal cord injury caused long-term paralysis. She later testified at the Massachusetts State House on health-care discrimination against disabled people.
Her father, Michael Kennedy, was killed in a skiing accident in 1997, when she was 13.
Her baby daughter Josephine, twin sister of Conor, died shortly after birth.
She is survived by two sons — Conor, 12, and Declan, 10 — and was RFK Jr's niece.
