LA model begs court to 'just deport me to Israel' as theft case is suspended over mental competency fears

Adva Lavie, a 29-year-old former Penthouse Pet and OnlyFans model, broke down in a Los Angeles courtroom on Wednesday, crying and yelling that she 'can't survive in jail' before proceedings were suspended. Her defence attorney raised concerns about her mental competency, halting the case until a Hollywood court decides on 9 September whether she is fit to stand trial. Lavie faces six felony counts including residential burglary and grand theft after prosecutors allege she posed as a girlfriend to wealthy older men in order to steal from their homes. She was reportedly limping and required a rolling chair throughout the chaotic hearing.

Lavie allegedly stole cash, gold coins, designer clothes worth $100,000 and purses from victims in Beverly Hills, West Hollywood and beyond.

Her billionaire ex-fiancé Stephen Cloobeck, a former gubernatorial candidate, pleaded not guilty earlier this month to charges he tried to dissuade witnesses from testifying against her.

A judge rejected her bid for mental health diversion treatment earlier in August, leaving her in custody ahead of the competency ruling.
