Labour gives Green councillors until Sunday to disown the 'Zionism is racism' policy or risk losing power-sharing deals
Labour's ruling National Executive Committee will decide whether to scrap the pacts once the deadline passes. Nine councils hang in the balance, including Sheffield, Warwick and Lewes, where Labour and the Greens govern in direct coalition. Green groups in Lewes, Wealden and Broadland have already distanced themselves from the policy. In Runnymede, Green councillors have quit the ruling alliance after the ultimatum.
Haringey Green leader Mark Blake hit back, blaming the 'weaponisation of antisemitism'.
Ex-Green leader Caroline Lucas warned the party is 'woefully exposed' to 'entryism'.
