Lady Gaga named her daughter Rose Bean as a tribute to two deeply personal touchstones. The rose and 'La Vie En Rose' connection runs deep — it was her 2016 live performance of the classic French song that landed her the Oscar-winning role in 'A Star Is Born', and she has a rose tattoo on her spine with the words "la vie en rose" in script beside it.

Rose's middle name Bean is believed to honour activist Carl Bean, who inspired Gaga's anthem 'Born This Way'.
