Laura Ingraham claims Republicans are deliberately trying to lose Congress to block Trump's agenda

Fox News host Laura Ingraham has told viewers that Republicans are intentionally sabotaging their own midterm chances to avoid passing President Trump's legislative agenda. The claim came during a Tuesday edition of 'The Ingraham Angle', when Ingraham turned a conversation about booming economic data into a broadside against her own side. She expressed astonishment that Republicans were failing to trumpet Census Bureau figures showing US median household income rose 2.6 percent in 2025 to $87,460 — the biggest gain since records began in 1967. Conservative economist Larry Kudlow appeared alongside her and confirmed the figures were accurate.
Ingraham said Trump grew personal incomes more in one year than Biden managed in four, demanding to know why Republicans weren't 'screaming this from the rooftops.'
Kudlow highlighted booming conditions for tradespeople, saying pipefitters, electricians and welders are now earning close to $200,000 a year.
Ingraham's claim that Republicans hope to lose Congress is the sharpest public rebuke of the party's midterm strategy yet from inside Fox News.
