Attorney Michael Willemin of Wigdor LLP, acting for three women with civil claims against Alon, Oren and Tal Alexander, said the brothers' wealth created an "aura" that left victims terrified they would not be believed. A Manhattan federal judge sentenced each brother on Tuesday to 30 years in federal prison for sex trafficking. Willemin said the federal conviction could now strengthen evidence in the outstanding civil cases.

At sentencing, the judge told the brothers that their parents would in all likelihood never live to see them walk free.

According to prosecutors, the brothers drugged and sexually assaulted women they had drawn in with luxury trips, parties and introductions to celebrities and powerful figures.
