Lebanese military judge charges 13 over a seized Hezbollah truck carrying 780kg of explosives that the group wants back
A Lebanese military court judge charged the 13 defendants — two in custody, the rest at large and charged in absentia — with crimes against internal state security, possessing weapons and forming illegal associations aimed at undermining the state. The truck was stopped at a checkpoint on the Beirut-Bekaa Valley highway earlier in October. Hezbollah admitted the explosives were its own, claiming they were meant for use against Israeli forces in southern Lebanon.
