'Left-wing commentator and activist': Robert Jenrick clashes with ITV presenter after being asked if he has 'defector's remorse'

Robert Jenrick rounded on Good Morning Britain presenter Paul Brand live on air Thursday, calling him a "left-wing commentator and activist" after Brand pressed him on Reform's slipping poll ratings, half-empty venues and internal racism rows. Brand had pointed to new Ipsos polling showing Reform down three points, with only one in five British adults now believing the party is ready to govern — down from nearly a third a year ago.
YouGov now puts Reform third on 20%, behind the Conservatives on 22% and Labour on 27%.
The row also focused on Raheem Kassam's description of Kemi Badenoch as a "Nigerian scammer" — Jenrick refused to call the remark racist.
Brand hit back, telling Jenrick: "This is what parties say when they feel uncomfortable, quite frankly."
